For speech class the kids are always required to learn many sets on phrases depending on the topic. Here is a shot from T. Nel’s popular ball game, where the balls are scattered around the room. The kids have to then pick the balls up and attempt to throw them back in the box, but they have to first say all their phrases. If anybody makes a mistake, the game is reset and all the balls come pouring out again! Not only does this encourage practice, but teamwork as well, and before they know it they’ve memorized not just their own but their friend’s phrases as well.
It only seems like yesterday when we exchanged our new years greetings with everybody, how time flies!
This month’s theme will be on community helpers, buuuut,
whaddaya know, an ogre’s showed up at our school!
That’s right, it’s setsubun season and our sparkling sapphires threw color balls at the ogre instead of beans.
Some became teary eyed, while others wore defiant expressions and threw the balls at him. Spring should come smoothly now huh
Happy valentines! At lucky kids all our kids from different classes showed appreciation and love for their mommies and daddies by making cards and crafts these two weeks. もうすぐバレンタインですね! ラッキーキッズでは子供たちがそれぞれのクラスでカードや工作など作り、お父さんやお母さんへの気持ちを形にしました♪

「ラッキー」を子供たちに!
This was taken from our Elementary class (literacy)
Their attention/ concentration levels are hightened to their peak, because after this it’s usually a boys vs girls spelling battle, and when it’s boys vs girls there really is no room to fool around
小学生たちのリテラシーの時間のワンショットです。
皆、集中力が極限まで高まっています、それもそのはず。
何故ならいつもこのあと男女対抗のスペリングバトルが開幕するからです。彼等にとっては死活問題ですもんね(笑)
